Bio: I recently "retired" after teaching high school Spanish for thirty years. I grew up in Colorado, and received my BA (cum laude) from the University of Denver in Spanish, History and Secondary Education. I completed my Master of Humanities degree in Spanish, History, and Art History at the University of Colorado Denver. I have also studied at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, and the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain. I have traveled extensively in Spain, as well as Mexico, Venezuela, Peru, across the United States, and Europe. I have been married to artist Brad Thorton for 33 years, and we have two grown children. We currently share our home with a rescued Golden Retriever and two cats. I am passionate about reading and travel. I also enjoy yoga, hiking, camping, and spending time with my family and friends.
